What Are the Yoga Asanas for Back Pain Problem?

 


When you are suffering from back pain, life seems like a hell. It is very important that you remain positive about it all the way because there are solutions which can work to help you live with this issue. The back pain problem can be resolved by regular back pain exercises which are specific for every type of problem. This is possible by using the services of experts in this respect who know in and out of the back pain issues. Any exercise which goes wrong can aggravate the problem. Therefore, it is pertinent to find the right teachers.

We mention some of the yoga asanas for back pain problem which are generally helpful. However, you must seek the help of an expert in this respect. The modern exercises of physiotherapy have also been developed on the line of these asanas.

Best yoga postures for back pain are-

a)  For back muscle relaxation- Advasana, Shavasana and Makarasana are the three poses which can help relax the stress in muscles of the lower back. Shavasana is practiced by lying flat on floor with spine touching the floor whereas the Advasana and Makarasana are performed by lying on belly.

b)  For lower back muscle strengthening- Marjariasana, Bhujangasana, Shashakasana, Ardha-matsyendrasana, Chakrasana, Dhanurasana, Ustrasana and Ardh-chakrasana. These shall be done when there is no issue of back pain and only strength is to be gained or developed.

c)  The Sciatica Pain relief- The nerve from lower back passing through the left or right legs is called sciatica. The sciatica pain can be relieved by doing Apanasana, Sucirandhrasana, Sputa padangusthasana and Eka pada rajakapotasana.

d)  To get relief from compression in the lower back- Dandasana, Janu-shirshasana, paschimottasana, Adho-mukha-virasana, Pavanmuktasana, Ardha Uttana Asana and Adho Mukh Shavasana are some of the asanas which can help in relieving the compression in lower back.

e)  To treat lumbar spondylosis- The poses which can help to treat lumbar spondylosis are Cobra, Child, Locust, Bridge, Cat and Cow poses. These are not very difficult to do but due care shall be taken not to over-exert.
